EAST
AFRICAN ADVENTURE is an
independent, family owned and managed business. We are a specialist
operator of adventure travel holidays, but being a family business, we
offer our travellers a very personal and flexible service, caring about
the trips we offer, the places we visit, and the travellers we take
(for acclimatisation
reasons, we will not offer
a Kilimanjaro climb of less than seven days on the mountain).
We are a father and
son team (pictured here on the
summit of Mt Meru), and are enthusiastic trekkers, hillwalkers and
photographers, active supporters of wildlife conservation in the UK and
in Africa, and have worked and travelled extensively in Africa over the
last 30 years.
We specialise in
adventure holidays to only Tanzania and
Kenya, and do not organise trips to any other countries. Our
trips
involve trekking, walking, and enjoying wildlife and the coast - they
are all aimed at enabling our travellers to experience the great East
African outdoors and its wild places.
We do feel strongly
about the responsibility that we all
have for the future of our world, knowing that our actions today will
affect our world and its people tomorrow. We hope you feel the same
way, and will also want to do your bit for our Environment.
Our local partner
in Tanzania (pictured below) is a very
experienced and qualified mountain guide and trip leader, with 14 years
experience on the big East African peaks and over 150 ascents of
Kilimanjaro, and countless others on Mt Kenya and Mt Meru.
The
countries of East Africa are special places, and we
are proud to be making our modest contribution to their development and
future. We offer adventure holidays to East Africa that give our
travellers the opportunity to experience its natural beauty for
themselves, and hope that after their trip, they too will share our
enthusiasm for the wonderful East African countries.
The people of East
Africa are very friendly and getting
to know the support crew gives our travellers the opportunity to enjoy
the friendliness and learn more about the local people and their way of
life. If you want to know what our travellers thought of their trip
with us, we have some feedback comments and pictures in Client
News and Views.
We hope you like
our website. Virtually all the pictures we have
used are photographs we have taken ourselves during previous visits,
and all the information we give is influenced by our African experience.
