Land Only Trips
There may be certain circumstances when you may wish to book a land only adventure trip, if for example you wish to arrange your own international flights, or you know you will already be in East Africa and want to join one of our trips locally.  There are certain aspects of a land only trip to which we would like to draw your attention.

Before you proceed with your own flight arrangements, you will need to Contact Us to make sure your chosen trip will definitely be running.  On land only adventure trips, you will receive exactly the same services as detailed in the trip itinerary WITH THE EXCEPTION of international flights, and local transfers to and from your hotel/lodge and airport in Africa.

You will be provided with the accommodation details of where and when to meet your group, and it will be your responsibility and cost to be at the appropriate hotel/lodge at the time stipulated.  Likewise, at the end of the trip, when the rest of the group leave their final hotel/lodge or dayroom for the airport, our trip comes to an end, and responsibility is yours thereafter.

Financial Protection under our ATOL licence covers all our trips where air travel is included as part of a land and flights single package.  If you arrange your own flights, then your land only trip with us is not protected under our ATOL licence.  Further, our understanding is that if you book your flights directly with an airline, your flights are not covered by an ATOL licence.  It is for this reason of financial protection and security, we recommend that our travellers book both land and flight arrangements through us to benefit from the financial protection of ATOL.
